A fusion of beauty and discovery takes center stage as the University of California San Diego Library presents Art of Science 2024, a vibrant exhibition showcasing the awe-inspiring visuals that emerge from UC San Diego’s pioneering research via the Library’s annual Art of Science contest.
This fall, the University of California San Diego’s Holocaust Living History Workshop (HLHW) series returns for its 16th season with eight compelling talks that underscore the theme “Violence, Voice and Recognition.” Each event will feature innovative approaches from scholars, writers, and survivors and explore both personal and shared responses to the Holocaust and its far-reaching consequences.
The theme of "Partnership and Collaboration” will take center stage on Thursday, September 18 at UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies Showcase 2024. Hosted in the new 8980 Villa La Jolla Drive building–-just across from UC San Diego's entrance at La Jolla Village Drive—the day's agenda will highlight the various services and benefits Extended Studies offers to support campus and community partners in achieving growth and innovation to meet their goals.

The UC San Diego campus is set to unveil a new facility at 8980 Villa La Jolla Drive that promises to create new opportunities for international students, lifelong learning communities, workforce development efforts and health science research. The new building, located right across the street from the main campus, will serve as the headquarters for the UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies, featuring classrooms, training spaces and key administrative offices. It will also be a research hub for UC San Diego Health Sciences, offering new collaborative resources for a dozen different programs.
Fareed Zakaria, host of the renowned CNN program “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” will deliver the 2024 Susan Shirk Lecture on U.S.-China Relations at 5 p.m. on Wed., Aug. 7, on the UC San Diego campus.
